Taste Buds and 3D Vision?

Did you know that the average hen has 340 tastebuds?  Who would have thought.  NO wonder they'll slurp up sour milk - ick!

And, chickens see in 3D.  They have eyes on either side of their head so they see in 3D.  Focus begins with the left eye and then the right eye hones in on the 'target'.  With this keen vision they can spot a grain of food or that wiggling worm from a distance of up to 3 feet.
