Treats for Chickens and the Environment

Boxes, Packaging, Shipping & Returns
All of our shipping boxes are made from recycled materials and they are 100% recyclable themselves!

If you receive a package with any form of packing peanut or popcorn it's because we are repurposing it and hope you will do the same.

We collect and save boxes and packaging material and reuse it in a secure and efficient ways to safely deliver your packages to you in a “pre-loved” box. Sometimes we need to use a brand new box but that’s ok too because now we can count on you to re-use it for us! Your box might arrive with a “Love an Ugly Box” campaign sticker on it. Simply re-use the box, and feel really good about saving a tree and participating in a bit of Green fun.

Shipping

Apologies in advance: Treats for Chickens  does not ship to Canada, Europe, or to APO addresses. The reason is that many of our super cool, eco-friendly, humane and non-toxic products will not clear customs.  Rules, rules, rules. 

Returns Policy
You may return new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, minus a 20% restocking charge based on the price paid for the item, not shipping. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Sales and Discounts

We do not allow for adjustments and or credits on previous purchases. Offers cannot be combined with other offers or applied to gift cards. Offers does not apply to purchases from retail outlets other than www.treatsforchickens.com

Sales Tax
Sales tax is only applicable to those placing orders who reside in the state of California. The sales tax rate is 8.25%.

Paying with a Check
Our shopping cart system allows you to use a variety of credit cards, or a debit card.

Phone Orders
If you need help placing an order on-line we are happy to navigate you through the process either via e-mail or on the telephone.  We do not process orders over the telephone. 

Gift Orders

Gift Orders
Everyone loves a gift! And we love sending orders which are gifts! Your friends love a surprise which comes in the mail - its like Christmas any time of the year! Most of our products make lovely presents! We do not gift wrap per se, but we can include a gift card, and if we've got some pretty paper, we'll use it. There is no charge for this gracious service! Just tell us what to say on the gift card, and we'll do the rest. If you do not want us to include the receipt in their box, please ask us.

Privacy 

We are very concerned about the growing lack of privacy in our modern world.  Everyone is in everyone else's business, right?  Well, at Treats for Chickens, any communications between us will not go beyond Treats for Chickens. We will never divulge any information about you, or your purchases. We do not have an interest in selling, renting or trading your name, address, telephone number, or email. There is no need for it. 

We do not send out unwanted emails advertising Treats for Chickens or anything else. We do not snail mail catalogs or announcements. We are active in the movement to protect privacy and civil rights, and we hope you are proactive as well.

If you get an emailed newsletter - its because you signed up for it directly on-line or at a community event we participated in. We do not harvest emails!
