Since the sea kelp is so fine, I thought of a great way to get the full nutritional benefit for the girls. I cook a big pot of oatmeal (using buttermilk, they love it) and add sea kelp to the cooled plastic bowl. I cook a huge pot of this since I have 14 hens and a Roo. This way, no sea kelp is pecked out of the feeder and lost in the dirt. These chickens love this stuff!

My 5 girls eggs have improved in the first week of using this product. They seem healthier and more active. This is a great product and will continue feeding it to them.

I started sprinkling this on my organic chick crumble at one day old. The chicks always picked out the kelp - they love it - so now I just give it to them by itself and they gobble it up. These are my first chicks (I got eight, all different breeds) so I have no comparison but these girls are so healthy, happy and energetic I can't believe it. I will give it to them their whole life!

I mixed it with my feed and the girls seem to like it. I will have to wait for a few more weeks to see the benefits on the outside.

if you don't mind the smell of the ocean at low tide then you won't mind the smell of sea kelp. other than that its okay. it seems like the chickens avoid it when mixed with food so we put it in the water jug. good orange yolks.
