  1. winter greens

I sow small batches of the salad bar seeds indoors in plastic trays during the off season so that the girls have fresh greens - they love to graze.

  2. Chicken Salad a Hit!

Posted by Linda on 24th Jul 2012

My husband built two boxes with wire lids so I can grow this in the coop with the girls. When the salad gets tall enough, the girls help themselves!! Every week or so I sprinkle more seeds in so they have a continuous supply.

  3. Salad Bar

Posted by Diane on 26th Jan 2012

I planted the seeds in one of the girls dust bath holes and covered with chicken wire and after 4 weeks or so the girls had a great treat. I only let them munch for a little while each time but they truly love the stuff. I ordered more packets so I can get a jump start on spring.

  4. Great Salad for your Chicks

Posted by Deborah Mitchell on 3rd Jun 2011

I planted them on Sat. and Mon they were sprouting. Fast growing and really neat to watch day to day. Can't wait to let the chicks to it. I planted mine in a box my husband built. That way I can move it in the Chicken yard and then take it out to start over.
